IDEA FEST LONG BEACH is a day of celebration that transforms and inspires the Long Beach community through classes, music, art, food and fun. Presented by Leadership Long Beach, IDEA FEST is an annual event of Inspiration, Discussion, Education and Arts. Event-goers can participate in classes ranging from popular arts to social justice, and science to local culture. There are also performances, entertainment and other activities for everyone to enjoy. The festival is a catalyst for transformation and leadership in Long Beach.

    Martin Espino created MEXIKA "Sounds & Dance of Ancient Mexico" in 1996. Since then MEXIKA still performs traditional and new music with the ancient, exotic and cosmic sounds of the instruments of our ancestral México! MEXIKA brings to its presentations a vast virtual museum of instruments, the poetry of the ancients, philosophy, culture, history, legend and facts. MEXIKA shares and teaches Mexican culture, asking that you reflect on your own roots. Everyone is native, native to this Earth!

    Alicia Murphy is a singer-songwriter from San Pedro, CA. She sings her all-original songs with a fierce rhythm guitar, a kick-drum, and unexpected harmonies. Alicia recently released her It Is and It Isn’t EP, produced by multiple Grammy-winning Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters, The Wallflowers) and Ran Pink at Fonogenic Studios in Van Nuys, CA.
